Edgar Allan Bro

Edgar Allan Bro. Aus dem Urban Dictionary:
edgar allan bro: A melodramatically depressed bro who expresses himself poetically. Listens to Snow Patrol, Thursday, and Taking Back Sunday.
Josh is being such an Edgar Allan Bro, all writing morbid poems on his livejournal about his ex-bro-ho.
Get off your ass, stop writing shitty poems on your LJ, and quit being such an Edgar Allan Bro!

Bukowski: TV-Doku von Taylor Hackford aus den 70ern

Vimeo:Buk (via Dangerous Minds)

"... Perfectly designed user experience and multi-touch make us forget that the easy-to-use interfaces are designed not only for our benefit ... With the AppStore, Apple has not only created a platform for programs. The back then hardware manufacturer now controls all small programs, books and magazines on its devices, music and videos to a great extent. How free are authors in the realm of an emerging überpublisher, for example when publisher and topic inevitably collapse? We wanna find out it and try with William Tell 2.0 an indeed political update of the old play ..." Wilhelm Tell 2.0 – The long-awaited update of Schiller’s famous piece

"This is the toilet that was personally owned AND used by J.D. Salinger for many years! It sat in his home in Cornish, New Hampshire, and was installed in the 'new wing' of his house. When he died, his wife inherited all of his manuscripts with plans to eventually release some of them! Who knows how many of these stories were thought up and written while Salinger sat on this throne! This vintage toilet is from 1962 and is dated under the lid. It will come to you uncleaned and in it's original condition when it was removed from Salinger's old home! It will also include a letter from Joan Littlefield. Her and her husband are the new owners of Salinger's house and are the ones who had the toilet removed and replaced. It is dated April 16, 2010. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of history!!

Dantes Göttliche Internet-Komödie

Dante's Göttliche Internet-Komödie:
"The most important thing you should know is that The Divine Comedy is a three part poem, Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. Each part is a book on itself in which Dante tells about his passage through them all. Now if you spent any amount of time online you have your fair share of things that annoy you. Now all those are categorized according to Dante’s Internet. Now if you spent any amount of time online you have your fair share of things that annoy you. Now all those are categorized according to Dante’s Internet...."

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy illustriert von John Martz

"It’s difficult to imagine this once-fantastical device without thinking of iPads, iPhones, Kindles, and Wikipedia. And it’s unfortunate that Douglas Adams, a Mac-user and tech nerd, never got to see his vision realized of a handheld device with instant access to endless sources of information. In the book, the device is described has having “about a hundred” tiny buttons, though were it written today, the Guide would surely have a touchscreen. Still, I couldn’t resist making it look like a calculator (and very much like a Kindle) if only to decorate the buttons with an alien alphabet ... This will be my last illustration for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. In creating the series I realized that I didn’t want to illustrate the characters. It’s a book about ideas — science, reason, philosophy, religion — and the characters exist only as vessels for these ideas" It’s a sort of electronic book. It tells you everything you need to know about anything. That’s its job (mit Link zu iPad-Wallpaper, für das man sich alberner Weise bei Flickr eingeloggen muss)

William S. Burroughs erschießt William Shakespeare

YouTubeDirektBurroughs
